We are excited to announce that husband and wife team, Ricky & Krystal Hanks of T-Town Roofing were featured in the March 17, 2014 issue of Roofing Contractor as YOUNG GUNS. The Young Guns are the next-generation leaders who are the driving force behind thriving companies. On pages 36 and 37 of Roofing Contractor, you will read a two-page article on Ricky and Krystal Hanks.

The article begins with how Rich Hanks started T-Town Roofing in Tulsa back in 1983. Rich's son, Ricky recalls accompanying his father to work when he was just five-years-old. When Ricky was 19, his father broke his back and was out of commission for the next year and a half. It was at that time that Ricky assumed the task of running the company.

Ricky and his wife, Krystal have been together since they were 17. Today, she is the CFO overseeing the company's day-to-day operations. She is the one that developed all of the company's systems, and today T-Town Roofing is entirely paperless.

T-Town Roofing is a family operation, with father Rich managing the Oklahoma City operations, Ricky's older brother Mark working as a sales rep/estimator, and Krystal's father Dave as the production manager. With 15 full-time employees, approximately 70% of our current business is residential and 30% is commercial.

"We also handle roll-formed custom metal roofing and work with metal that's made to look like tile," said Ricky.

Ricky and Krystal have five children together, with ages ranging from 14 to 9 months. Their eldest daughter helps with filing and shredding in the office, while their oldest son, Dillon has worked on the sales team and on roofs. The Hanks want to help their kids find what they are great at, whether it means running the business, going to college, or both.
